What We Do
We use state-of-the-art computerized testing monitors that take readings every hour for 2-4 days and give a printout of each hourly reading as well as the average radon level for the testing period. This is the most accurate short-term test available and allows you to avoid lengthy laboratory analysis.
If your home has elevated levels of radon, don’t worry. Elliott & Associates has the highest success rate in the industry, providing you with the lowest radon levels with our innovative design.
What really sets us apart from our competition is that we CARE about your family’s health and want to design the best system for your home. We don’t just install a generic system and hope it works. We scientifically test each home to determine the best location for your system so that it will be both effective and efficient.
Effective June 1, 2013 the Illinois Radon Resistant Construction Act went into effect stating that all new construction of single-family homes or dwellings containing 2 or fewer apartments, condominiums, or town houses must have a passive radon pipe installed. We work with builders to install and activate these systems.
Elliott & Associates has been designing and installing sub-slab depressurization systems and vapor/gaseous intrusion mitigation systems since 1986. As an early entrant into this field, which is only now beginning to become mainstream, our engineers pioneered proprietary methods for control of negative pressure field extension in buildings. Our experience in design and installation is wide ranging from the smallest of residential properties, to factories, to sprawling strip malls.
We Are A Professional Team

When you hire Elliott & Associates you can be sure that you will be provided with amazing and professional service from your first phone call to the final completed system and beyond.
Radon Is Real
Radon gas is the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers. Approximately 42% of homes in Illinois have elevated levels of radon gas. Fortunately, it's a health risk that can be reduced by testing your home for radon, and taking action if the levels are too high. Elliott & Associates has over 30 years of experience in radon measurement and radon mitigation.
``I thank you for your speedy response and efforts in mitigating the high levels of radon at our condo unit. This has cleared the way for completing the sale of our condo in Willowbrook. I must say that I was skeptical that radon levels could be reduced so much to below levels of 2 pCi/L. But that is what the mitigation accomplished.
Also, I appreciate your company getting involved in describing the solution and process to the prospective buyer. They were turned off by what they had heard from some other company, and considered backing away from their purchase. The discussion certainly allayed their concerns, and the buyers came back on board to continue and likely complete the sale process.``
``Thanks for a great installation! As you may remember I am a Mechanical Engineer, now retired, and have designed and installed hundreds of various mechanical systems, utilizing many dozens of contractors, so I understand what goes into doing a good job. You and your guys are very professional. Brandon and Phil showed up on time, went to work very efficiently. Their experience was obvious. The on-site design went quickly and very well. Quality is great, and they left us all cleaned up. Overall I couldn’t be happier with the installation. My hat is off to your remediation technicians! Well done!``
``The 2 servicemen, Brandon & Phil, did an outstanding job installing my system last week at my house. They were polite, cleaned up after themselves and paid attention to detail. The installation work was 1st class and looks great. It's nice to see people who care about their work and the finished product, I will highly recommend Elliott & Associates to anyone I know that needs a radon system installed.``
``Phil and Brandon were fantastic! They were a pleasure to work with! They were very professional and explained everything throughout the process! We look forward to seeing the reduction in the radon as well as other positive side effects (humidity, odors, etc). Phil was very helpful in explaining all the parts of the system inside and out. Brandon was very helpful in explaining how the initial process would work, smoke testing with the vacuum and such.``
